Just Be There

Get to Know Us

Just Be There was created as a Girl Scout Gold Award project by a 17-year-old who recognized the struggle of being a teenager with a loved one with a cancer diagnosis. After her mom was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, Skyler found that many people around her (both teens and adults) were unsure of what to say, how to act, or what support to offer. After speaking with her own community she decided to build a website as a practical guide, where someone could easily find solutions for supporting their loved ones. Realizing it’s not about grand gestures and the perfect words, but rather that sometimes the solution is to Just Be There.
